I spent my Thursday (October 12th is a religious holiday in Brazil) going around town a bit with my friend Elisson, before heading to the airport. We drove up to Serra de Santa Helena (a bunch of hills just outside town), where you can get a pretty good view of the city. It was one of those sticky, hot and humid summer days (even though summer is officially 2 months away). This panoramic I put together using a really cool freeware called Autostitch (tks to Dirceu for the tip!).
If you look really closely, you can see 3 out of the seven lakes.
