Check out this post, it's pretty amusing. Personally, I had never stopped to think about the word 'blog', but now that he's mentioned... it is a pretty ugly word indeed. And its derivations are even worse. But... of the several aspects of this worldwide social fever, the name would be the least likely to make me stop and wonder why.
BTW - Rough Type, the blog where this was posted, is supposed to be interesting for people into IT.
